Residents Training
Cook County Trauma Unit is involved in training residents from a number of
programs.
We currently have residents rotating from:
General Surgery:
Rush University - PG5, PG4 and PG2
University of Chicago Hospital - PG4 and PG2
Emergency Medicine:
Cook County Hospital - PG2,3,4
Chicago Osteopathic Hospitals - PG3/4
Resurrection Medical Center – PG 2
Northwestern Memorial Hospital – PG2
University of Illinois at Peoria - PG3
St. Pauls Hospital, Vancouver – PG4
In addition, we routinely have residents from the following specialties on

Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Pediatric Intensive Care
Medical Intensive Care
Family Practice
This diverse group of residents from many different training programs helps
to enhance the learning experience for all involved.
